LMICS

Within LMICS, Clinical Reference Groups (CRGs) have been established for the purpose of:

• reducing variations in cancer care, and
• promoting best practice.

These groups are made up of health professionals from the multiple disciplines involved in cancer care, and they provide the structure through which service improvement opportunities are identified, planned, implemented and evaluated.

In order to drive an integrated approach to safety and quality in cancer care, the following documents are utilised as best practice references in the CRGs:

• the Patient Management Frameworks, and
• Clinical Excellence in Cancer Care - a Model for Safety and Quality in Victorian Cancer Services.
