LMICS

An updated version of the  Information Brochure for Newly Diagnosed Cancer Patients has been produced and distributed by LMICS and the Bendigo Supportive Care Consumer Advisory Group (CAG).

After an initial six month trial, the first version of the brochure was updated in response to feedback. This second version has now been distributed throughout the region during December 2008.

It is recognised that the General Practitioner (GP) is the clinician who most often delivers the initial diagnosis of cancer so this brochure has been distributed to GPs and their clinical practice nurses. This should ensure that this resource will play an important part in supporting newly diagnosed cancer patients in a timely fashion.
